I am a true book piggy. I would rather shop for a book than for clothes, love nothing more than to curl up on the couch with a new book, and have been known to devour entire books in one sitting. However, I won’t piggy on just any book. Fiction is my meat and potatoes, with the occasional biography thrown in. Rarely I’ll choose something about current events, but I generally prefer the newspaper for that.
When I’m not book piggying, I go to medical school in Toronto, Canada, where I’m less than a year away from adding MD to my name and earning the privilege of spending several more years in training before I’m actually allowed to do stuff on my own. I live with my husband and our cat, Harley, who continues to gain weight despite portion-control, weight control cat food, and a rigorous exercise routine (mostly involves me running around with a string trying to get Harley to chase it). He’s now pushing 15 lbs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The point of this site is to review the books that I’ve read, recommend the ones that I like and warn against those that I spit out. Hopefully it will help you get the best for your book choice, since we all know how crappy it is to pick up a book you think looks good, only to get it home and discover you can’t stand it.
